Mr. Gregg Lewis Ray, age 56, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Wednesday morning, July 9, 2025, at his residence.

Gregg was born November 5, 1968, in Douglas, Georgia to James Edward Ray and Sandra Faye Cole Dorminey.  He was owner of Forgiven Outreach Ministries Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation where he was a licensed councilor, case manager, and minister.  He spent many years helping countless people overcome drug and alcohol addiction through a faith based approach to a life altering change.  He will forever be remembered for his devotion to doing God’s work with a loving heart.

Gregg is survived by 3 children: Jeremy Gregory of Lexington, South Carolina, Kylan Ray of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Chelsey Vincent of Fernandina, Florida; several grandchildren; 3 brothers: Jamie Ray of Waycross, Georgia, Chris Campbell of Douglas, Georgia, James Patrick Ray of Fitzgerald, Georgia; his mother, Sandra Fay Dorminey of Nicholls, Georgia; his father, James Edward Ray (Sara) of Waycross, Georgia; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Gregg’s family will receive friends on Thursday evening, July 17, 2025, beginning at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.   A Celebration of Life for Gregg will begin at 5:30 PM and his family will resume visitation following the Celebration of Life and continuing until 7:00 PM.

Gregg’s arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
