On July 17, 2025, deputies arrested a man who allegedly used a family member’s debit and credit card without her permission. The incidents happened between June 14-23 and were reported to the sheriff’s office on July 3, 2025.

The victim went to the sheriff’s office to report the crimes. A deputy met with her and, according to an incident report, told him Perryn Sinquefield, 30, of Douglas, had used her debit card from Ameris Bank without her permission. The family member had evidence that he had used the card at One Trip, located on the Willacoochee Highway, and Petro, located on Old Pearson Highway. He allegedly used the card while he was living with the relative.

A debit card statement showed a transaction for $71.45 and another for $26.41. The victim didn’t have a statement for the credit card. She added that both cards had been cancelled.

Two weeks later, on July 17, 2025, Sinquefield was arrested and charged with two counts of financial transaction card fraud. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail and released on a pair of $5,000 property bonds.
