The Coffee Trojans defeated the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes in 2025’s preseason scrimmage at Jardine Stadium. The junior varsity squads played the first quarter; the Trojans won that quarter 13-0.
The teams reset the scoreboard for the second quarter and the varsity units played each other for the remainder of the game. The score was 0-0 at halftime and 6-3 at the end of the third quarter. Coffee ended up winning the game 12-10.
The Trojans are off next week before welcoming the Bainbridge Bearcats to town for the regular season opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
