The City of Douglas encourages citizens to attend or join various city committees and boards. The following is a list of August 2025 City of Douglas Boards and Committees meetings. The city currently has one vacancy on the Airport Commission. The volunteer would need to live in the city limits and have an interest in aviation. Volunteer forms are available for download on the city website at cityofdouglasga.gov/volunteer.

  • Land Bank Authority – August 14, 2 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Youth Council Meeting – August 18, 5 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Downtown Development Authority, August 20, 8:30 AM, Chamber of Commerce.
  • Veterans Park Committee, August 20, 10 AM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Planning Commission Meeting, August 25, 10 AM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • GICH Douglas Team – August 27, 3 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
