Wendell Hubert Sasser, age 69, of Nicholls, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Sasser was born on August 18, 1955 to the late Hubert and Inez Sasser.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Sasser of Nicholls, GA; one daughter, Brooke (Tyler) McKinnon of Savannah, GA; two sons, Steven (Boone) Sasser of Jesup, GA and Gregory (Brittany) Sasser of Douglas, GA; seven grandchildren, Ruby Sasser, Dean Sasser, Grey Sasser, Patrick McKinnon, Annabelle McKinnon, James McKinnon,and Aiden McKinnon; two brothers, Kim (Sandra) Sasser of Alma, GA and Glenn (Esperanza) Sasser of Darien, GA; a sister, Rene (Wade) Chancey of Alma, GA and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Brant Calloway officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be: John McKinnon, Amos Winter, Joe Peceka, Darrell Wasdin, Ben Fuller, and Scott Meeks.
