Michael Dennis Zanders, age 61, of Ambrose, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025. He was born on June 3rd, 1964 the son of the late James Zanders and Imogene Nipper Zanders.

His survivors include two daughters, Lacy (Jason) Cauley of Ambrose, GA and Ursyla (Jay) Brooker of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Kagan Jump, Olivia Jump, Bailey Jump, Erica Cauley, and Saylor Cauley; one great-grandson, Kaysun Baker; one brother, Junior (Sue) Zanders of Ambrose, GA; six sisters, Jeanie Faulkner of Douglas, GA, Diane Thomas of Hazlehurst, GA, Lisa (Van) Hughes of Liveoak, FL, Cathy McKinnon of Douglas, GA, Carol (David) Sasser of Douglas, GA, and Pat Hall of Douglas, GA; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Rene McNab, Betty Sue Nipper, Debbie Anderson, and Wilene Driggers; father, James Zanders; and mother, Imogene Nipper Zanders.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at 2:00PM, at Saving Grace Ministries in Douglas, GA, with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. The interment will follow the service at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
