Marvin L. Douglas, age 76, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his residence, followeding an extended illness. He was born on July 17, 1949, in Douglas, GA to the late Reverend Claude Douglas and the late Sarah Dyal Douglas
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Martha Jean Douglas of Douglas, GA; one son, Kevin (Karla) Douglas of Douglas, GA; one daughter, Tracy (Jason) Campbell of Richmond Hill, GA; five grandchildren, Jacy (Gage) Anderson, Kalli Douglas, Kam Douglas, Reese Spell, and Case Spell; one great-granddaughter, Baleigh Anderson; one brother, Larry (Jackie) Douglas of Douglas, GA; one sister, Linda Mobley of Douglas, GA along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: son-in-law, Jason Spell; father, Claude Douglas; and mother, Sarah Douglas, along with four sisters and three brothers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at the First Assembly of God in Douglas, GA, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Marshall Adcock, Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Joel Auger officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Church Cemetery in Ambrose, GA.
Active pallbearers will include: Jason Troupe, Phillip Adams, Kam Douglas, Reese Spell, T.J. Hutto, and Allen Hutto.
Honorary pallbearers will include: Gage Anderson, Russell Ray, Jimmy Tanner, Dustin Railey, Zane Hutto, Bethany Hospice Nurses, and all public safety officers.
