The Georgia Technology Student Association (GATSA) proudly held its annual Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence (CORE) from September 6-8, 202, at The Kaplan Mitchell Retreat Center at Ramah Darom in Clayton, Georgia. This year’s theme, “Outlead, Outserve, Outlast,” brought together 610 participants from 80 schools across the state for a weekend of leadership development, team building, and fun.
Participants engaged in a variety of activities designed to prepare them for their roles as chapter officers. They created their annual Chapter Action Plans, attended workshops to learn the duties and responsibilities of their specific offices, and completed team-building exercises to take back to their local chapters. The CORE Olympics provided physical challenges that fostered teamwork and camaraderie among different chapters.
Local officers for Coffee High TSA Joshua Cribb (President), Mylee Mills and Logan Hardee (Co-vice president), Ruby Gomez (Treasurer), Sebastian Hickerson (Secretary), Kayman Perkins (Reporter), and Jovanny Gomez attended the two-day conference. “This retreat gave our officers the chance to build stronger connections as a team while sharpening the skills needed to guide our chapter this year,” said Jerry Hill, TSA Chapter Advisor. “They are committed to leading by example and carrying out TSA’s tradition of excellence.”
