Ms. Patricia Lynn Taylor Grimes, age 59, of Nicholls, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 from injuries sustained in an accident at her residence.

Patricia was born August 31, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Johnny Taylor and the late Mattie Bowman Taylor.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found no greater love in life than spending time with her family and telling everyone about “her twins”.  She also had a great love for her dogs through the years and treated them as an important part of her family.  Patricia found nonstop joy in music and dancing, as well as great enjoyment in time spent at the beach.  She attended Harvest Time Church of God in Douglas, Georgia.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lori Hodges.

Patricia leaves behind 2 sons: John Steven (Cayla) Grimes of Ludowici, Georgia and Brandon Scott (Nikki) Grimes of Nicholls, Georgia; 9 grandchildren: Madison, Malory, McKaden, Makayla, T.J., Caitlynne, A.J., Cerenity, Braydon, and Mason; 3 great-grandchildren: Zaydyn, Zalayah, and Cienna; 2 sisters: Sherry Grantham of Nicholls, Georgia, and Brenda Holton of West Green, Georgia; 5 special nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Stacy, Steven, Johnny, and Shawn; along with a number of great nieces, great nephews, and extended family members; as well as her husband, Chris Grimes of Nicholls, Georgia.

Memorialization will be by cremation and a Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Harvest Time Church of God with Bishop Glynn Fussell officiating.

Condolences, kind words and fond memories may be shared with Patricia’s family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.

Patricia’s arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
