Marco Antonio Bautista, 21, of Douglas, remains in jail on arson – 1st degree charges after he allegedly set a fire inside the bedroom of a relative’s home.

An incident report states that around 3 p.m. on August 27, 2025, a deputy responded to a Tara Road address in reference to a property damage call. When she arrived, she spoke with the complainant who said that a relative had been setting fires throughout the property.

Earlier in the day, the complainant stated in the report, the suspect, Bautista, had set a fire in one of the bedrooms. The bedroom was being renovated and there was exposed insulation, the report stated. A witness stated that Bautista allegedly set the fire with a McDonald’s bag.
