The Coffee Lady Trojans dispatched the Northside-Warner Robins Eagles 13-1 in four innings Tuesday afternoon at Faircloth Field. Coffee is now 13-5 overall and 6-4 in region play.

The Lady Trojans scored in all four innings on Tuesday. They plated two in the bottom of the first, one off a single by Ella Edge and another on an RBI groundout by Imori Paulk. In the second, Karlee Thomas and Kanlee Douglas drove in a run each to give the Lady Trojans a 4-0 lead.

Coffee’s big inning came in the third. Jocelyn Fender hit a three-run home run then Douglas doubled, scoring two and putting the Lady Trojans up 9-1.

Coffee scored four more in the fourth. Paulk led off with a single, Maggie Brown walked, and Fender walked to load the bases with no outs. Channah Smith hit a sacrifice fly out to left that scored Adalyn Swails, who was running for Paulk. Thomas followed with a double, scoring pinch runner Ivey Grantham and Fender. With Ella Winters at the plate, Thomas stole third then scored the final run of the game on a passed ball. The run ended the game with one out in the fourth via 12 run mercy rule.

The Eagles scored their only run on a solo home run in the second inning.

Douglas was 2-3 with three RBI and a run. Thomas was 1-3 with a walk, three RBI, and two runs scored. Winters scored three times as did Fender, who also walked twice. Paulk stole two bases. Edge, Winters, and Thomas stole one apiece.

Maggie Brown was lights out again, giving up one earned run on one hit in four innings. She struck out 12, didn’t walk anyone, and 46 of her 56 pitches were strikes.

The Lady Trojans travel to Warner Robins on Thursday for a doubleheader with the Eagles. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. Coffee has one region series left this season, which begins Tuesday in Lee County. The Lady Trojans finish the season with non-region games on the road against West Laurens and Ware County.
