Daniel Alton Spivey, age 48, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center. He was born on July 14, 1977 in Douglas, GA to Daniel Stanley Spivey and Camellia Ortiz Spivey.

Survivors include: mother, Camellia Ortiz Spivey of Douglas, GA; father, Daniel Stanley Spivey of Douglas, GA; brother, Nathan (Cindy ) Spivey of Dothan, AL; sister, Lundie (Hardy) Gray of Valdosta, GA; nieces and nephews, Amellia Gray, Parker Gray, Jewels Gray, Hudson Gray, Harper Spivey, Hayden Spivey, and Nellie Spivey; as well as several extended family members. He was preceded in death by: grandfathers, Alton Spivey and Ramon Ortiz; grandmothers, Evie Spivey and Juanell Jewell Ortiz; two uncles, Emilio Ortiz; aunt, Louise Ortiz; and first cousin, Shayla Spivey.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Elder Luke Mizell, Elder Hardy Gray, Elder Hardy Gray, and Elder Nathan Spivey officiating and special speakers Adam Smith, Lundie Gray and Joy Smith.

Music selections will be played by Ms. Debra McKinnon. Interment will follow at St Illa Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
