Mr. Christopher Scott Grimes, age 60, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Broxton, Georgia.

Christopher was born November 7, 1964, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Johnny Grimes and the late Wanda Ann Raulerson.  He made his career in the heating and cooling industry and attended Harvest Time Church of God.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and cooking, especially grilling.  It was said that he could cook up something delicious out of anything.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Donna Black and Brenda Grimes.

Christopher leaves behind four children: Christy (Alex) Houchens of Jacksonville, Florida, Angel (Ryan) Fowler of Jacksonville, Florida, John Steven (Cayla) Grimes of Ludowici, Georgia and Brandon Scott (Nikki) Grimes of Nicholls, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren: Emily, Andrew, Rylie, Grey, Madison, Malory, McKaden, Makayla, T.J., Caitlynne, A.J., Cerenity, Braydon, and Mason; three great-grandchildren: Zaydyn, Zalayah, and Cienna; one brother, David Grimes of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Memorialization will be by cremation and Christopher’s family is planning a memorial service in his honor at a later date.

Christopher’s arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
