Mrs. Judith Pitts Andrews, age 89, formerly of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025 at her residence in Valdosta, Georgia, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Andrews was born January 5, 1936 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to the late Kenneth Pitts and the late Lucille Harshman Pitts.  She was a homemaker, and married to her late husband, Robert Andrews for 42 years, prior to his passing.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who found great joy in caring for her family.  She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church. Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by a grandchild, Erin Cates; and 2 siblings, Marilyn Moyer and Phillip Pitts.

Mrs. Andrews leaves behind four children: Ericka Floyd (Lowell) of Douglas, Georgia, Christopher Andrews (Jody) of Valdosta, Georgia, Stuart Andrews of Valdosta, Georgia, and Gregory Andrews of Tifton, Georgia; six grandchildren: Caleb Floyd (Selena) of Broxton, Georgia, Christopher Andrews, Jr. of Lexington, South Carolina, Cody Andrews of Chesapeake, Virginia, Tricia Andrews of Lexington, South Carolina, Timothy Andrews of Sarasota, Florida, and Emma Andrews of Sarasota, Florida; five great grandchildren: Brian Cates, Trevor Cates, Cameron Cates, Xander Floyd, and Payton Andrews; two siblings: Sandra Chapman of Virginia, and John Pitts of Sharon, Pennsylvania; along with a number of extended family members.

A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Andrews on Friday afternoon, September 26, 2025 at 4:00 PM in the Douglas City Cemetery, with Bishop Britt Peavy officiating.

Mrs. Andrews’ arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
