Pearl Drew Shattler, age 83 of Douglas, Georgia and formerly of Kite, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at The Landings of Douglas, Georgia. Pearl was born January 5, 1942, in Kite, Georgia to the late Gladys Sherrod Drew and Georgia Washington Drew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Shattler, II and two brothers, Tony Drew and Billy Drew.

Mrs. Shattler retired from the banking Industry where she held many positions starting as a teller and completing her career as a bank officer. She was a lifetime member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Kite, Georgia. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and working in her flowers, where she was known for having a green thumb.

 Survivors include her children: John Wesley Shattler, III and wife Paula of Kite, Georgia, David Lee Shattler, Susan Shattler Whitley and husband Timothy all of Nicholls, Georgia; three grandchildren, Katye Shattler, Danielle Whitley and Grant Shattler and one great-grandson, Ramsey Shattler; two sisters, Jeannette D. Garnto and Judy D. Palmer and husband Al all of Kite, Georgia and six brothers, Joe Drew of Vidalia, Georgia, Jess Drew and wife Pam, Dawson Drew and wife Angie, Walter Drew and wife Penny, Tommy Drew and wife Judy and Larry Drew and wife Lynn all of Kite, Georgia

A Celebration of Pearl’s life will be held at 11:00 o’clock AM, October 4, 2025 at Rehoboth Baptist Church, 2419 Georgia highway 57, Kite, Georgia 31049. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
