Mr. Rex Edward Adams, Sr., age 63, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Rex was born January 9, 1962 to the late James Edward Adams and the late Sarah Janice Sauls Adams.  He loved God, his family and his friends.  He was a sheet metal machinist by trade and a gifted handy man.  He will long be remembered for his willingness to help others.  Rex was a dedicated employee of Lyon Management Company for the past 10 years where he was more than an employee, he was family.  He was a brother to those he worked with.  Rex was a man of few words, his actions spoke louder than his words.

Rex is survived by a son, Rex Edward Adams, Jr., of Marietta, Georgia; a sister, Ginger Kay Adams of Bainbridge, Georgia; 1 niece; 1 nephew; 1 great niece; 2 great nephews; his lifelong friend, Wanda Benton Rowell; as well as a number of extended family members.

Memorialization will be by cremation and a memorial service will be held to honor Rex on Monday morning, September 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bowen, Sr. officiating.

Condolences, kind words, and fond memories may be shared with his family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements for Rex have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
