Mrs. Sena Mae Flanders Crosby, age 74, of Moultrie, Georgia, formerly of Lakeland, Florida, passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday morning, September 22, 2025 at her residence surrounded by loved ones, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Crosby was born October 21, 1950 in Pearson, Georgia to the late James Flanders and the late Louise Benefield Flanders. She made her career with Singleton Seafood Factory where she retired after 35 years of faithful service and she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Moultrie, Georgia. She found great joy in eating catfish and traveling to the fair anytime she could find one close by. She had a deep love for her grandchildren; she loved them and took care of them; but her greatest love of all was reading her bible. Along with her parents, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her husband, Mathis “Sonny” Crosby, Jr.; a half sister, Dorothy Bennett; 2 half brothers, William Bennett, Jr. and Clarter Flanders.
Mrs. Crosby leaves behind a daughter, Penny Lawatha Kramoski, of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Gracie Irene Flanders Spraggins of Moultrie, Georgia, and Virginia Holmes of Homerville, Georgia; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; special cousins, James and Linda Chaney of Douglas, Georgia; along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Mrs. Crosby’s family will receive friends on Saturday Morning, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church. Her funeral will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Andy Cashwell and Rev. Joaquin Torres officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include Suzanne Jackson, Brittani Medina, Andy Miley, Billy Peel, Sr., Billy Peel, Jr., and Daniel Sandlin.
