The Coffee Trojans have evened their record at 3-3 overall and 1-0 in Region 2-5A thanks to a 28-7 victory over the Northside-Warner Robins Eagles on Friday night in Warner Robins.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Trojans took a 21-7 lead into halftime. Tresean Smith, CJ Stinson (blocked punt, recovered the ball in the end zone), and Bobby Reynolds all scored in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, full-time linebacker and part-time running back Jordan Solomon scored Coffee’s final touchdown of the night.

The Eagles scored their only touchdown early in the second quarter and took a 7-0 lead. Their advantage only lasted one play; Smith tied the score when he took the ensuing kick to the end zone for a game-tying touchdown.

The Trojans face the Lee County Trojans at Jardine Stadium next Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.
