William Henry “Buddy” Spikes Jr., age 81, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 10th, 1943, the son of Mr. William Henry Spikes Sr. and Frances Lee Garren Spikes.

His survivors include: his beloved wife, Margaret Spikes of Douglas, GA; one son, William Boys Spikes of Douglas, GA; one daughter, Martha Frances (Danny) Simmons of Brooklet, GA; three grandchildren, Madelynn Simmons, Matthew Simmons and Hailey Spikes; three brothers, Winston (Donna) Spikes of Ocilla, GA, Tommy (Cheryl) Spikes of Nashville, GA, and Teddy (Polly) Spikes of Enigma, GA; two sisters, Katherine Moore of Nashville, GA and Bernice (Don) Wilkerson of Tifton, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Spikes of Nashville, GA, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 29th, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 29th, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at 2:00 PM, with Bishop Tony Wright officiating and Teddy Spikes bringing the eulogy. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Mike Gaskins, Teddy Spikes, John Davis, Michael Spikes, Michael Purvis, and Winston Brogdon.

Honorary pallbearers include: American Legion Members and VFW Members.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
