Lillie Mae McCook, age 84, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, at Summers Landing. She was born on March 10th, 2025, the daughter of the late Daniel Wesley Tanner and Belluah Smith Tanner.

Her survivors include one daughter, Alana (Steve) Lott of Douglas, GA; three grandchildren, John (Shelley) Dykes of Douglas, GA, Steve (Karan) Lott of Nicholls, GA and Ladawn (John) Shealy of Douglas, GA; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Dykes, Daniel Dykes, Dustin Dykes, Trinity Adams, Brantley Adams, Oliver Lott, and Owen Lott; two sisters, Hazel (J.T.) Deason and Opal (Ron) Erickson; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: father, Daniel Wesley Tanner; mother, Belluah Smith Tanner; husband, Frank McCook; one daughter, Sabrina Renee Blizard; one sister and four brothers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, with Rev. Jack officiating. Interment will follow at Chaney Cemetery in Douglas, GA.

Active pallbearers will include: John Dykes, Steve Lott, Dylan Dykes, Dustin Dykes, and Brantley Adams.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
