Douglas Rotary Club’s members and guests heard an interesting ministry presentation by Christi Paulk at the club’s October 9meeting at South Georgia State College.
Mrs. Paulk, Southeast Leadership Team member for GoServ and a realtor with Keller Williams, presented how GoServ Global has been a “world changer by empowering and transforming communities through Jesus Christ.” The organization focuses on creating villages of Sukup Safe T Homes built of grain bins that offer inexpensive, storm- and natural disaster-resistant structures for housing, churches, healthcare facilities, and schools. GoServ Global volunteers have served communities in Guatemala, Haiti, India, Peru and the United States following hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. Locally, these volunteers responded in the Coffee County area following Hurricane Helene in 2024.
GoServ Global is organizing a regional chapter and seeks volunteers and supporters in Coffee and surrounding counties interested in this ministry. They are also hosting a raffle fundraiser that includes a first prize of a 2025 Rodan mini excavator, second prize of a 3-night stay at a lake access cabin in Georgia, and third prize of a Winchester Super X4 semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun. To learn more, contact Mrs. Paulk at 229-424-4496 or christi.paulk21@gmail.com. To purchase raffle tickets, visit www.goservglobal.org/se.
