A traffic stop on September 29, 2025, resulted in the arrest of a Webber, Fla., man who had in his possession suspected illegal drugs and was also wanted in Adel, according to a report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.

The report states that on September 29 at around 11:15 p.m., an officer in the area of Highway 32 East near Archery Range Road got behind a white Hyundai Elantra traveling west toward Douglas. While behind the vehicle, the deputy stated that he could smell marijuana coming from the Elantra. He contacted a Douglas police officer for assistance and initiated a traffic stop.

During the stop, a passenger in the Elantra, Lucious Henry, 59, of Webber, Fla., admitted to having marijuana, the report says. A search yielded suspected marijuana and another illegal drug that field tested as methamphetamine, the report says. Officers also discovered that Henry had an active warrant out of Adel. Authorities over there requested that a hold be placed on Henry.

The marijuana weighed five grams and the methamphetamine weighed 3.3 grams on non-certified scales, the report says. Henry was booked into the Coffee County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce).
