Mrs. Barbara Ann Harper Carver, age 80, of Willacoochee, Georgia, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, October 13, 2025 following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Carver was born April 15, 1945 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Eston Harper and Mary Lee Harper.  She was a woman of God and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She married the love of her life, Elzie Wayne Carver, in 1964 and spent more than 47 years making a home and raising a family with him prior to his passing in 2012.  She was a founding member of New Beginnings Church in Alapaha, Georgia.  Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Carver was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Carver and her 2 brothers, Jerry Harper and Larry Harper.

Mrs. Carver leaves behind her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Stanley and Leesa Carver of Willacoochee, Georgia; a granddaughter Payton Wiggins and husband John of Douglas, Georgia; along with a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Mrs. Carver’s family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, October 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Ricketson Funeral Home.  A graveside funeral service and interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Salem Cemetery with Rev. Scott Smith and Rev. Russell Joiner officiating.

Mrs. Carver’s arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
