A 29-year-old Douglas man was arrested in Ambrose after he allegedly knocked on doors screaming for help.
Witnesses stated that the man, identified as Cube Contario Evans, 29, of Douglas, knocking on doors of residents on Dennis Harper Road around 4 p.m. on November 2, 2025. Witnesses reported that he would knock on doors and scream, “Help me, they’re coming after me!”
Authorities responded to the scene and attempted to detain Evans. The sheriff’s office incident report states that Evans wouldn’t comply. Officers took Evans to the ground and handcuffed him. They searched his person and didn’t find any contraband. However, the report says that Evans admitted to using tunechi earlier in the day.
Evans was arrested and charged with public intoxication and willful obstruction of an officer. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail and later released.
