The CCA Lady Patriots took the field again this week, opening play on Tuesday against two experienced programs, Class AAA Mt. de Sales and Class AA Georgia Christian.

Mt. de Sales, a fast-paced and explosive team, jumped out to an early lead before CCA settled in and mounted a strong second-half comeback. Despite closing the gap late, the Lady Patriots came up just short, falling 20–18.

Quarterback Brilynn Waldron connected with Arabelle Roberts for three touchdowns through the air, including a 55-yard strike. On defense, Roberts led the way with 10 flag pulls and an interception.

Next up was Georgia Christian School, the 2024 GIAA state runner-up, known for its disciplined, defense-first approach. The Lady Patriots drove the field several times but were unable to find the end zone. GCS claimed a 12–0 victory in a game that felt closer than the score suggested.

Defensively, Bristol Barrs and Arabelle Roberts led CCA with six flag pulls apiece.

On Thursday, the Lady Patriots traveled to Savannah to face Memorial Day School (MDS) and First Preparatory Christian Academy (FPCA). Having previously defeated both teams easily in their first-ever flag football games, the coaching staff used the opportunity to install new plays and give many of the 23 players on the roster valuable game experience.

CCA faced FPCA first, scoring two early rushing touchdowns by Brilynn Waldron and Bristol Barrs. Waldron connected on 10 of 16 passes for 147 yards, with Arabelle Roberts accounting for 104 of those yards through the air. CCA finished on top 13–0.

In their fourth game of the week, CCA faced host Memorial Day School. Defensively, the Lady Patriots shut down nearly every MDS drive, highlighted by two interceptions from Arlee Vickers and one each from Mattie Lewis and Braelyn Frost. Jayla Shrouder led the defense with four flag pulls and a sack.

On offense, Brilynn Waldron started at quarterback, connecting with Roberts for two touchdowns before senior Abrah Harris took over and completed 4 of 6 passes for 102 yards and two more scores to Roberts. Bristol Barrs and Waldron also added touchdowns, as the Lady Patriots rolled to a 39–6 victory.

The Lady Patriots closed their regular season 4–2 and now await the release of the state playoff brackets, hoping for a playoff berth in their first-ever season of flag football.
