On November 9, 2025, a Douglas police officer responded to a report of an armed robbery that allegedly occurred at Georgian Woods Apartments. After speaking with both parties involved, the officer determined that an armed robbery had not taken place. One individual, however, still went to jail on battery charges.
According to an incident report from the DPD, the call came in around 3 a.m. on November 9. The victim stated that he and some friends had gone to the apartments to meet up with some girls they had previously met. When they arrived, the girls came out accompanied by multiple males. One of the individuals was identified as Kemon Necarl Clark, 18, of Broxton. The victim said he and Clark had a disagreement and agreed to fight in a nearby patch of grass, the report says.
The victim reported that before he could move, Clark pulled a gun and asked for the victim’s belongings. Then, the report says, Clark handed the gun to someone else, punched the victim, and took his phone and headphones. The victim said he did not want to press charges; he just wanted his phone and headphones back, according to the report.
The officer went to Georgian Woods Apartments and found Clark. He said the victim and his friends pulled up at the apartment and asked the girls to ride off with them. They didn’t want to go, the report says, so Clark asked the victim and his friends to leave. Clark said they refused so Clark punched the victim. He added that he did not have a gun and he did not take any of the victim’s possessions, the report says.
There was a video of the incident. The officer watched the video and, the report says, saw Clark hit the victim several times in the face. There was no gun and no robbery took place. The victim later found his phone in the vehicle he was in at the apartments.
Because of the fight, Clark was arrested and charged with battery. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail and later released.
