More than 1,900 Georgia TSA members, advisors, and guests from 146 schools across the state gathered on Jekyll Island for an unforgettable weekend at the annual Fall Leadership Conference. This year’s theme, “Leadership Rewired,” electrified the event with a creative nod to Stranger Things, using Hawkins-inspired storytelling to highlight how leadership means flipping the switch, facing the “Upside Down,” and sparking bold new ideas together.

Throughout the three-day conference, students participated in a series of leadership and technical workshops led by TSA members, corporate partners, and post-secondary institutions. These hands-on sessions offered valuable opportunities to build communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and STEM-focused technical skills.

Coffee High School was proudly represented by the following student delegation: Joshua Cribb, Mylee Mills, Logan Hardee, Ruby Gomez, Sebastian Hickerson, Nora Bagwell, Jovany Gomez, Clemente Castro, Aldair Ramirez, Jolston Dean, Kayman Perkins, and Christopher Powell.

Coffee’s students showcased their skills in several high profile events:

  • Armada Cardboard Boat Race: The team of Joshua Cribb, Logan Hardee, and Christopher Powell earned top honors by winning “Fastest High School Boat” out of more than 40 entries—a remarkable accomplishment in one of the conference’s most popular competitions.

  • VEX Robotics Competition: Coffee High School’s robotics team placed 10th overall among a field of 27 highly competitive robots from across Georgia—the school’s first top 10 finish since 2021. The competing team included Jolston Dean and Sebastian Hickerson, with support from Jovanny Gomez, Aldair Ramirez, Clemente Castro, Ruby Gomez, and Christopher Powell.

The Coffee High School TSA chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to the generous sponsors who made this trip and these competitive opportunities possible. Their support ensures that students can continue to compete, innovate, and represent the talent and dedication of the Coffee County School System: Eagle Lake Bone Pickers, Vaughn Tile Company, MidSouth, Charles Lewis Construction, Paradise Tan, Sassy Sip, Napa Auto Parts, Scott Kirkland Jewelers, Madison Grey House, Hanna’s, The Pink House, P&M Trucking, Swain’s Pharmacy, Pilgrim’s Pride, and Randa Hardee.
