A 28-year-old Nicholls man was arrested and charged after he allegedly falsely reported a crime on November 15, 2025, at 2:30 a.m.
According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, an officer responded to a Gallberry Avenue address in reference to a trespassing call. Quantavious Hillman, 28, of Nicholls, had called and said that someone “unwanted” was in the home.
Officers responded and spoke to the female victim who was at the location. She stated that she is in a relationship with Hillman and he called 911 because he believed another man was at the home. According to the report, she said that Hillman was in Ashburn at the time.
The victim showed the officer missed phone calls and text messages and said that Hillman had been “harassing” her all night. At the officer’s request, she made contact with Hillman who admitted, according to the report, that he made the call because “she had another person there.” The report says that Hillman also threatened to burn a blanket that the victim owned.
She did not want to press harassing communications or terroristic threats charges against Hillman, the report says. However, the responding officer took a warrant on Hillman for false report of a crime. Hillman was arrested on November 16, 2025, and booked into the Coffee County Jail on false report of a crime charges. He was released on bond.
