Coffee High senior softball player Karlee Thomas will play the next four years just down the road at Valdosta State University. Thomas, a Region 2-5A First Team All-Region infielder, committed to the Blazers last month.
Thomas has been an integral part of the Lady Trojans since she was a freshman. This year, she led the team with a .480 batting average, a .581 on-base percentage, 13 stolen bases, 36 runs, 36 hits, an .827 slugging percentage, eight doubles, and three triples. She was also second on the team with four home runs. Thomas made a few appearances in the circle as well and posted a 4.20 ERA in five total innings of work.
The Lady Trojans finished the season with a 20-9 record and a share of the Region 2-5A championship.
