On the morning of December 7, 2025, a series of incidents began within the City of Douglas and continued across multiple jurisdictions before concluding in Mitchell County with an arrest.
According to initial reports, 50-year-old Lamarcus Antoine Dunson committed several criminal acts that included the theft of a Chevy Silverado in the area of Estlee Mercer Road in Coffee County. Dunson then traveled toward Albany where he allegedly carried out a robbery at a convenience store.
His alleged criminal acts ended in Mitchell County where authorities located Dunson inside a residence he had unlawfully entered. He was taken into custody without further incident. Dunson is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, armed robbery, and motor vehicle theft.
The investigation remains active and additional charges may be forthcoming as agencies finalize their reports.
