Douglas Rotary Club supports community organizations throughout the year and ended 2025 by recognizing the regional chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and their director, Tommy Watkins, at the club’s December 11 meeting. Members enjoyed an update on FCA successes and plans for service.
Douglas Rotary presented a check to Mr. Watkins to support FCA’s character-building efforts with student athletes in Coffee County middle and high schools, Citizens Christian Academy, surrounding school districts, and South Georgia State College. Watkins gave a shout-out to fellow Rotarians John Day, Paul Elliott, and Clay Lott as being among the valuable volunteers who have hosted “huddles” at these schools.
