The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest following the theft of a red Honda four-wheeler from the Greenfield Circle area.
The theft was reported on Monday, December 29, 2025, after a construction company discovered the four-wheeler — previously secured with a chain and lock — missing from a job site. The sheriff’s office issued a BOLO and received multiple tips from the public.
Following an investigation, detectives recovered the stolen four-wheeler early Tuesday morning, December 30, 2025, from a wooded area on Locust Lane in Nicholls. The investigation led to the arrest of James Hilliard, who was charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Additional juvenile suspects were involved and no further information will be released.
This case was investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division, Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement Unit, and Patrol Division. The investigation remains ongoing.
