31-year-old Khadija Kyahm Hayward of Douglas is in jail on aggravated assault charges after she allegedly helped a juvenile stab another juvenile multiple times in a fight at Georgian Woods Apartments.
According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, officers responded to the apartment complex at around 8 p.m. on March 26, 2026, in reference to a stabbing. The report states that two juvenile females were fighting when one of the juveniles pulled a knife from under her shirt and stabbed the other juvenile.
The stabbing victim then ran away to leave the fight when Hayward allegedly tripped the victim, causing her to fall into some bushes nearby. The female with the knife then jumped on the victim’s back, the report says, and continued stabbing and hitting her multiple times.
The victim was able to get away, go home, and call 911. EMS responded and the victim was transported to a trauma center via Air-Evac with serious injuries.
The alleged assailant was taken into custody and sent to a youth detention center. Hayward was arrested on several outstanding warrants that night and released. After investigators collected more evidence from the incident, Hayward was arrested again on March 31, 2026, and charged with aggravated assault and party to a crime. She was booked into the Coffee County Jail where she is being held without bond.
