Ms. Pamela Lee McDonald Cook passed away Thursday afternoon, April 2, 2026, in Douglas, Georgia, at the age of 63.
Pamela was born, January 12, 1963, in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late John McDonald and the late Tommielee Stephens. She was employed by Sunbelt/Spectrum prior to becoming disabled. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading, and was of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Uretha; and a grandchild, Mason Jackson.
Pamela leaves behind two children: Randal Lee Hiers of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Amanda D. Hiers of Douglas, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Austin Hiers, Skylar Hiers, Hannah Hiers, and Gavin Jackson, all of Douglas, Georgia, Harley Hiers and Lexie Hiers, both of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Jagger Jackson of Nashville, Georgia; two brothers: John McDonald of Douglas, Georgia and Jamie McDonald of Brunswick, Georgia; two nieces: Michelle Gilliard and Jessica Jewell, both of Douglas, Georgia; a nephew, Timmy Hiers of Douglas, Georgia; along with a number of extended family members.
A funeral service will be held to honor Pamela on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Auger officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
