Around midnight on July 23, 2026, deputies responded to a report of a man turning donuts around another individual’s car in the county.
The suspect, identified as Olan Frederick Harrison, 59, of Douglas, was actively fighting a deputy, according to a sheriff’s office incident report. The report says that Harrison had been fighting another individual at the location and had injured him to the point that he had been transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to the report, Harrison would not comply with deputies’ commands. An officer tased him a total of six times until he was eventually handcuffed. The report says that Harrison appeared noticeably intoxicated.
The complainant stated that she had gotten in her car and Harrison “was doing donuts and bothering her while she was in her vehicle.”
A deputy also went to CRMC and spoke to the person with whom Harrison had allegedly been fighting. The victim had been bitten four times, once to the point that one of his fingers “was hanging on by skin,” according to the report.
Harrison was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, battery, obstruction, and DUI. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail and remains incarcerated.
