Mr. Sherley B. Vickers, age 75, of Ambrose passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at the Haven Hospice Center, in Orange Park, Florida, following a short illness. He was born August 18, 1940 to the late Ira Vickers and Ruby Vickers.

Survivors include: His Wife: Aundria Bernell Steel (Andy) Vickers of Ambrose, Ga.; 1 Son: Bernard Vickers of Ambrose, Ga.; 2 Daughters: IraSue Harrell of Pearson, Ga., and Ann Rea Disharoon of Fayetteville, Ga.; His Mother: Ruby V. Vickers of Ambrose,Ga.; Grandchildren: Lee Evans, Michael Harrell, and Trell Walker, all of Douglas, Ga.,
Nicholas Vickers, Tiffany Bookout, Ashton Jewell, and Nathan Hattaway, all of Ambrose, Ga.,Drew Disharoon, and Nichole Disharoon of Fayetteville, Ga., Payton Haney, and Tailor Haney, both of Douglas, Ga.; Great Grandchildren: Kaylee Bookout of Ambrose, Ga., Maylee Evans, Mandi Marie Harrell, both of Douglas, Ga., Ana Harrell, and Jayden Harrell, both of Douglas, Ga. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Service will be Thursday morning at 10:00 A. M., at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Hutcheson, Rev. L. G. Aldridge, and Rev. Michael Harper officiating. The Interment will follow in the Purvis Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 10:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home. Mr. Vickers will be placed in the Church, Thursday morning at 9:00 A. M., to lie in state, until the funeral hour.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
