Officials with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation , along with investigators from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested a man identified as 22-year-old Allen Dewayne Tucker for the murder of Gabriel Demetrius Douglas, which occurred earlier this month. Tucker was arrested at around 11:30 Wednesday morning and has been charged with one count of murder and five counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the Coffee County Jail.

Sheriff Doyle Wooten states the Douglas Police Dept. has also been a vital part of the investigation and thanked them for their assistance.

On Saturday, December 5, the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the sheriff’s office to assist in a homicide investigation that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Douglas.

Deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office had responded to Just Jump for Kids, 3045 Highway 41 South, in Douglas at around 1 a.m. in reference to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found Douglas suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials with the GBI state the case continues to be active and ongoing and request anyone with information pertaining to the investigation to contact the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 384-4227 or the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office at (912) 389-4103.
