Phyllis Haggard, age 66, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Haggard was born on December 3, 1949, in Birmingham, AL to Juanita McCown Hicks and the late Malta Manuel Hicks.
Survivors include: her husband: Bobby Haggard of Douglas, GA; daughter: April (Pat) Doherty of Douglas, GA; two sons: Eric (Kimberly) Haggard of Covington, GA and Adam (Michelle) Haggard of Smyrna, GA; stepdaughter: Alex Crips of Douglas, GA; mother: Juanita Hicks of Alabama; two sisters: Janice (Tommy) Burchfield and Susan (Bruce) Shores both Oak Grove, AL; two brothers: Joseph Hicks of Oak Grove, AL and Mark (Angie) Hicks of Alger, AL; four grandchildren: Ashley Haggard, Keeley Doherty, Finn Doherty and Micah Haggard; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home in Hueytown, AL. Interment will follow at Prescott Cemetery in Jefferson County, AL.
