Lewis Melvin Meeks, age 60, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Meeks was born on July 19, 1955, in Douglas, GA to the late Mark Daniel Meeks and Eliza Knowles Meeks.
Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Walls Meeks of Douglas, GA; daughter, Tammy Meeks of Douglas, GA; son, Johnnie (Ciara Vickers) Meeks of Douglas, GA; grandson, Nicholas Meeks of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Judith Adelle Chandler of Douglas, GA and Connie Walls of Orlando, FL; brother, Mark Meeks of Broxton, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly King officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Church Cemetery.
