Two charged in Bacon Co. meth raid

Officials with the Alma Police Dept. reported today that two females have been charged in connection to case reported earlier this week in which law enforcement seized over six pounds of methamphetamine.

On Monday, Feb. 8, the Alma P.D., along with the Bacon County Sheriff’s Office and a Ware State Prison K-9 team, executed a search warrant at 412 W. 15th St. in Alma following a brief investigation.

Officers seized over six pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 1 ¼ pounds of marijuana, a Glock 9mm handgun, narcotic pain medication, and $15,090 cash.

Alma police have officially charged Millicent ‘Millie’ Newson (41) of Alma with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, (2) counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. 

Robin Bizzell (37) of Alma has been charged with possession of marijuana over one ounce.

Two unnamed individuals originally reported arrested during the incident have been released.
