Nine South Georgia State College student athletes signed letters of intent Feb. 3 to play soccer at the next level. Surrounded by family, friends and coaches, the athletes signed their letters on National Signing Day, officially accepting athletic scholarships offered to them by a college or university.

Signees to Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., include Laura Parsley (Arbroath, Scotland), Caroline Temple (Jacksonville, Fla.), and Melissa Carpenter, (Jacksonville, Fla.). Dalton State College signed Rachel Hardin (Augusta, Ga.), Shanelle Frederick (West Bay, Cayman Islands), Akeila Raines (Thomaston, Ga.), Lori Jimenez (Douglas, Ga.), and Jordan Bernard (Neptune Beach, Fla.). Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga., signed Bailey Pickering (Palm Coast, Fla.).
