Mrs. Rosa Lee Spivey Amerson Hester, age 79, of Douglas passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Mayo Health Clinic in Waycross, following an extended illness. She was born November 7, 1936 to the late Tilmon Spivey and the late Linnie Mae Davis Spivey.

Survivors include – Her Husband, George Raymond Hester, Sr. of Douglas, GA; 9 Daughters: Charlene (Randy) Adams, Theresa Kirkland, Sheila Cooper, Wanda (Rev. Joey) Copeland, and Lounell Burkes all of Douglas, GA, Talena (Barry) Spivey of Willacoochee, GA, Nell (Darryl) Davis of Nicholls, GA, Peggy (Bobby Joe) Pritchard of West Green, GA, and Dianne (Howard) Hersey of Beach Island, South Carolina; 4 Sons: Johnny (Candi) Amerson of Douglas, GA, Brandon (Kathy) Register of Albertville, Ala., Kenny (Deanna) Amerson, and Jimmie (Alicia) Amerson all of Pearson, GA; 3 Step Children: George Raymond Hester, Jr. and Sharon Wright both of Douglas, Ga., and Bonnie (Raymond) Musgrove of Axson, Ga.;1 Sister: Hazel (George) Morgan of Douglas, GA; 35 Grandchildren, and Numerous Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 2:00 P. M., at the Jowers Chapel Church, with Rev. Howard Holt, Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. At the Graveside, Rev. Joey Copeland will conduct the Committal Services.

The Family will begin receiving friends, Saturday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M, at Ricketson Funeral Home.
