On Wednesday, May 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m., the senior class of Coffee High School will be participating in the fourth annual Senior Parade for the Class of 2016.

Developed and created by Dr. Rowland Cummings, Principal of Coffee High, members of the senior class spend a day returning to their home elementary school wearing their caps and gowns and talking with students about the importance of obtaining an education and reaching their goal of Destination Graduation for college, career and life – the mission of the school system.

With eight elementary schools within the district, seniors will be visible in every school.  The day will start at 8:30 a.m. from the high school as seniors ride a school bus to their home elementary school.  After spending a few hours with the students and staff, they will continue the celebration at their middle school alma mater, Coffee Middle School, where they will tour the halls for all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to see them.  Following the middle school visit, they will return to Coffee High by noon.

The Class of 2016 is one of the largest classes in history with 450 graduates.  Within this class there are over 26 Zell Miller Scholars and 78 honor graduates.
