Kiwanis Club hosts annual honors night

The annual Douglas Kiwanis Club Honors Night was held at the Flyin’ Cowboy Restaurant May 31, during which several local students were recognized and given awards. 

Tiffany Lynn Morgan received the Kiwanis Club of Douglas SGSC Foundation Endowed Scholarship for outstanding scholastic achievement.  Loryn Brown, CCA, received the Carroll A. Burch Award for her leadership at CCA this past year.  Brown was also presented a Key Club President’s Gavel as outgoing President of the CCA Key Club. 

Kade Moore was sworn in as incoming President of the CCA Key Club.   Mario Nunez, CHS, was presented the Youth Volunteer Service Award for his work with the Douglas Kiwanis Club over the past year.  Harrison Barlow, CHS, Mallory Walters, CCA, and Jacob Walker, CCA, received Christian Leadership Awards. 

Not present, but also receiving the Christian Leadership Award, was Kayla Tatum, CHS.

Members of the Kiwanis Club congratulate these students for their achievements and willingness to take on responsibility.
