Kayla Tatum was recognized as this year’s CHS recipient of the Christian Leadership Award during the Douglas Kiwanis Club meeting Tuesday at the Flyin’ Cowboy restaurant. A check for the 4-H summer camp scholarships was also presented to Kevin Tatum.
Steve Young, Director of the Douglas Parks and Recreation Department, was the speaker for the night. He spoke about the youth sports programs and new initiatives to include special needs kids and seniors.
It was an enjoyable evening for all those in attendance.
