Ameris Bank Douglas Market President David Batchelor and Branch Manager Darline Minchew proudly announce the recent donation of $322.27 to Indian Creek Elementary School.

This donation was made possible through the Ameris Bank School Spirit Program, which offers schools a unique opportunity to earn additional funds without having to utilize a traditional fundraising method. As a customer of Ameris Bank, Indian Creek Elementary qualified for the School Spirit Program. When school supporters, parents, faculty and boosters, open an Ameris Bank non-interest bearing checking account, they are asked to “tag” their account to the preferred school. Quarterly, Ameris Bank will make a donation to Indian Creek Elementary School based on a percentage of the aggregate balance of all accounts tagged to this specific school. Thus, the $322.27 donation was based on the aggregate balance of any Ameris Bank non-interest bearing checking account “tagged” to Indian Creek Elementary.

Batchelor shared, “At Ameris Bank, we believe in building relationships with our customers and giving back to the communities we serve. We are proud to donate back to Indian Creek Elementary School, and we are excited for the increased opportunities this donation will provide.”

Ameris Bank contributed over $48 thousand to participating schools in 2015.

Ameris Bank and Indian Creek Elementary encourage school supporters to participate in the School Spirit Program by opening an Ameris Bank non-interest bearing checking account. This program is also available to other schools. For more information about the School Spirit Program, contact Ameris Bank Branch Manager Darline Minchew.
