George Washington Carver freshman student DyAnna Hayes of Ambrose was recently named the 2016 Teen Miss Peach Blossom Queen at the prestigious pageant in Hawkinsville.

DyAnna is the daughter of Brandon and Misty Hayes. Her grandparents are Emmett and Brenda Hampton of Ambrose, Larry Hayes of Willacoochee, and Marie Hayes of Nashville.

DyAnna thanked her family for all the support they have given her and a sent a special thanks to a very special friend, Alix Troupe, for always making her look her best.  She and her queens are available to make appearances in the community during this upcoming year by calling (478) 923-3846,  (912) 850-4823,  or by emailing peachblossompageant @ yahoo.com.

The Miss Peach Blossom queens will also receive free entry into the Miss Georgia Peach Scholarship pageant on March 17, 2017 at Fort Valley State University.  The winners of that pageant will serve as the ambassador of the Georgia Peach Festival and the Peach Industry.

The Miss Georgia Peach pageant has been in existence for 25+ years and is considered a stepping stone to competing for Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen and Miss Georgia.  Two Miss Georgias, Maggie Bridges and Amanda Kozak Miliner, are former Georgia Peach queens.
