Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of October for children, tweens, and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library! Bookmark Art Contest Winners’ Ceremony

Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the Children’s Room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library for the winners and their families.

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years of age!

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio! Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the year! Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations. A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian before auditioning if under 18 and given to Miss Julie. Permission slips are available at each branch location or by going online.

Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens

All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Story and Craft Program at all locations!

Douglas:  Mondays at 3:30 p.m.

Broxton: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Ambrose: Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m.

Pearson: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m.

Nicholls: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

Douglas Children’s Halloween Party:   Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room!!
Pearson Children’s Halloween Party:   Friday, October 29, 2016 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Pearson Public Library.

Dress up in your Halloween costume! We will have games, crafts, treats, and much more. Snacks and drinks will be served. Come and join us for some Halloween fun.

TEEN EVENTS

New! Pearson Pre-Teen & Teen Architecture Program

Pearson: Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Pearson Public Library from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Come and learn about different types of architecture and create one!  There will be various stations including a specific architectural structure to create, build your own, and art. This is a great educational and interactive program for older students. This program will be held once a month for six months.

Teen Advisory Group Meetings

Douglas: Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room
Pearson: Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to have a great time with their peers planning young adult programs, helping order young adult books for the library’s collection, and planning fun activities for teens. Earn volunteer hours for participating in Teen Advisory Group. Refreshments will be served.

Teen Choice Movies

Come and vote on a teen choice movie to watch, refreshments will be served.

Willacoochee: Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.

Teen Wii Gaming

Pearson: Monday, October 17, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Willacoochee: Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
