The youth of Reedy Branch Baptist Church originally began a recent missions project with a goal of raising $3,000 to provide one water well to a Zambian community. This past Sunday, the group presented a $12 thousand check to Love Africa Mission, which will provide four wells to the economically-deprived region.

According to Kell Phelps, youth leader at Reedy Branch, each well costs approximately $3,000 and, thanks to generous people who supported this project through t-shirt purchases and other fund raising efforts, this should allow for four brand new wells in areas that currently have very little water, if any.

This Reedy Branch group will have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Zambia next summer (2018) to minister to the same people who will be getting use from these wells.

“We are so excited to see how the Lord will use these gifts for his glory,” Phelps stated.
