Mr. Edd Henry Taylor, age 66, of Nicholls, GA passed away Sunday evening, February 26, 2017, at his residence following a brief illness. Mr. Taylor was born November 24, 1950 to the late Robert McKinley Taylor and the late Gussie Southerland Taylor. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gail Foster and a very special friend Cathy McKinnon. Mr. Taylor had retired as an insurance agent with Liberty National Life. He attended the Ozias Freewill Baptist Church and New Vision House of Worship.

Survivors include:

3 children: David (Tracy) Taylor of Pearson, GA, Amber (Jimmy) Jordan of Douglas, GA and Miriah (Scott) Sears of Fitzgerald, GA
2 Step Children: Heather Collier of Broxton, GA and Brandon Wilkerson of Marion, NC
2 Brothers: Robert McKinley Taylor, Jr. of Douglas, GA and Denny Taylor of Waycross, GA
9 Grandchildren: Chase (Jessica) Taylor and Hailey Taylor both of Pearson, GA, Jaycee Jordan and Ansley Jordan both of Douglas, GA, Kendall Bundrick and Phoenix Sears both of Fitzgerald, GA, Walker Bennett of Broxton, GA, Jasmine Wilkerson and Taylor Wilkerson both of Marion, NC
1 Great Grandchild, Kanon McKinley Taylor of Pearson, GA
Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a Host of Friends.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church in Atkinson County with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. The interment will follow in Roxie Mae Cemetery. Mr. Taylor will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. to lie in state until the funeral hour.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ricketson Funeral Home, 305 West Ward Street Douglas, GA 31533.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
